would it be poss to send a pic and perhaps have a jumper knitted for each-the little one will be alot bigger by winter tho so do you think i should wait?
best wishes
sam
Hi Sam, thank you for your lovely comments. Are you coming to the Great Greyhound Gathering at Nottingham Racecourse on Sat 17th September? it is the biggest greyhound meet in the country and Greyhounds4me will be there in our gazebo next to Dog O’Nine Tails promoting our forum and selling our wares. You will have the opportunity to try coats on your hounds and see what size fits best. We can do custom coats though so dont worry
Hi I like the look of yous knitted jumpers and would like to knit one for my own dog please can i have deatails how to purchase one
Bobby is the dog I want to make one for he was pulled out of the canal 6 wks ago aprox 6 weeks old could hardly walk and didnt know what to do with food all that has changed last week he weighed 9 kilos he is definately a lurcher cross looking on line possibly some saluki in him he is a pleasure to have he has given so many laughs
Have alrady gone through 2 coats [outgrown] so could you may be advise as to what age or length I should make the garmet I realize it is difficult not seeing him he is about 15in long from neck to tip of tail
I have done a lot of research on the net but is there any more hints you could give to keep him healthy as I have always had an older rescue dog not puppies or any sort of lurcher/greyhound
many thanks Diane
Hi Diane, Bobby sounds adorable, so glad he has a lovely home now. You might want to try knitting a Whippet size coat for him, you can adjust the length by working fewer rows for a shorter one and you can find the downloadable patterns at http://www.greyhounds4me.co.uk/greyhounds4me-shop/ With regard to help and advice, we have an owners forum where you can share chat and photos and ask for advice etc and you can find the link at http://www.greyhounds4me.co.uk/forum/
Look forward to seeing you there
